Released in February 2006 for PC, Command & Conquer: The First Decade is a compilation collecting the real-time strategy titles published under the Command & Conquer banner between 1995 and 2003, bundled onto a single DVD and updated for compatibility with Windows XP. The package was priced equivalently to a single retail game at launch. Beyond the games themselves, the set includes a bonus DVD featuring behind-the-scenes content such as producer interviews, early concept art, audio clips, and a fan video montage drawn from a pre-release competition. Physical extras consist of a double-sided A3 poster — one side of which served as a teaser for Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars — along with a 65-page reference manual covering unit descriptions and keyboard shortcuts for each included title. The compilation was published by GameTap Entertainment and serves primarily as a preservation and convenience package for the franchise's first decade of releases.
