Crash Boom Bang! is a party game developed by Dimps for the Nintendo DS, released in 2006. It is the second party-focused entry in the Crash Bandicoot series, following Crash Bash, and the first title in the franchise to launch exclusively on the DS. Notably, it was also the first Crash Bandicoot game to release in Japan before North America, and the last entry in the series to receive a Japanese release. The game's story follows a wealthy multi-millionaire who recruits familiar characters from the series in a quest to locate a powerful artifact known as the Super Big Power Crystal. Gameplay revolves around a collection of minigames incorporating puzzle and trivia elements. The title received predominantly negative reviews upon release, with critics pointing to repetitive gameplay mechanics and weak controls as significant shortcomings.
