Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars is a 2007 racing game developed by Hitmaker for the PlayStation Portable, combining the content of the original Crazy Taxi and Crazy Taxi 2 into a single package. The game centers on competitive cab driving, where players race through city environments picking up fares and delivering passengers as quickly as possible for maximum tips. A key addition to this installment is multiplayer, which the series had not featured before, allowing drivers to compete directly against one another. Combat plays a central role: players can ram rival cabs to steal their passengers mid-fare, and an interference mechanic enables them to deliberately slow down opponents during deliveries. The result is a confrontational take on the arcade taxi formula, with the competitive modes reframing the series' familiar high-speed driving around sabotage and fare-stealing rather than straightforward time-attack racing.
