Dr. Luigi is a falling-block puzzle game developed and published by Nintendo for the Wii U, released in 2013. A spin-off of the Dr. Mario series, it tasks players with eliminating colored viruses by matching them with pill segments that drop into a bottle-shaped playfield. The game introduces L-shaped pills as a central new mechanic, featured prominently in Operation L mode, which requires careful placement to clear the board effectively. Retro Remedy mode preserves the traditional Dr. Mario experience with standard two-segment capsules. A third mode, Virus Buster, uses the Wii U GamePad's touchscreen and stylus, allowing players to drag and position individual pill segments freely.
