Fitness Boxing is a rhythm-based exercise game developed by Imagineer for the Nintendo Switch, released in 2018. Players perform boxing-inspired movements timed to instrumental versions of songs from artists such as Lady Gaga, Pitbull, and Kesha, using the Joy-Con controllers to register punches and other physical actions. The game supports both solo and two-player cooperative workouts, and its portable nature allows sessions at home or elsewhere, taking advantage of the Switch's handheld capability. Workouts are customizable, with players able to select from different fitness goals to tailor the experience to their needs. The title sits at the intersection of the music rhythm and sports genres, framing physical exercise as an interactive, music-driven activity rather than a conventional fitness program.
Daily training ranges from 10-40 minutes and offers both Normal and Fast mode. The game software estimates your approximate BMI and daily calories burned so you can track your progress. Choose from a diverse group of trainers and customize their look with unlockable trainer outfits. As you progress, you can earn more songs and more challenging training circuits. If you prefer to work out with a buddy, you can use two sets of Joy-Con controllers or share a pair to enjoy working out cooperatively or test your skills by facing off against each other in a virtual ring!
