Developed by SCE Cambridge Studio and released in 1997 for PlayStation and PC, this remake of the classic arcade game substantially expands on its source material by shifting from simple lane-crossing to multi-layered exploration. Across nine distinct zones totaling 33 levels, the player navigates each map in search of five baby frogs, all within a set time limit. Rather than recycling a single environment, each zone introduces its own hazards — obstacles, traps, and enemies specific to that setting — demanding players learn new patterns and routes as they progress. The structure preserves the arcade original's core identity while layering in puzzle and adventure elements that require more deliberate movement and spatial awareness than the straightforward grid-based gameplay of its predecessor.
