Lumines Electronic Symphony is a music-puzzle game developed by Q Entertainment, released in 2012 as a PlayStation Vita title. Like its predecessors, the core gameplay involves arranging falling colored blocks to form matching squares, which are then cleared by a sweeping timeline synchronized to the music. The game transitions from the flat 2D sprites of earlier entries to animated 3D blocks, and supports multiple input methods including the Vita's front touchscreen, analog stick, and D-pad, as well as the rear touch pad. Rather than unlocking visual skins purely through in-game progression milestones, the title introduces an experience point system that converts session scores into XP, gradually unlocking new skins and avatars as the player levels up. Each avatar carries distinct abilities usable in both single-player and multiplayer modes. Design firm BUILD, founded by former Designers Republic and Psygnosis members, contributed the logo, in-game font, and packaging graphics.
