Medal of Honor: Allied Assault – Breakthrough is a first-person shooter developed by TKO Software, released in 2003 for PC and Mac. The second expansion pack for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, it follows Sgt. John Baker of the US 34th Infantry Division across several World War II campaigns in the Mediterranean theater. The game covers major historical engagements including the Battle of Kasserine Pass in North Africa, the fall of Bizerte, the Allied invasion of Sicily in 1943, and the amphibious landings at Anzio in 1944. Players engage in both infantry combat and vehicle operations using period-accurate weapons. Breakthrough expands the arsenal available in single-player and multiplayer modes by introducing Italian weapons alongside the British and Soviet weapons carried over from the previous expansion, Spearhead, with additional British weapons rounding out that faction's full complement.
