Released in 2000 by Codemasters for PlayStation, Mike Tyson Boxing is a 3D sports simulation built around the legacy of one of boxing's most prominent figures from the 1980s and 1990s. The game presents three distinct modes: a Vs. mode structured around winner-stays-on arcade bouts, a Showcase mode supporting up to eight human and eight CPU participants in tournament format, and a World mode where players develop a rookie boxer through a career ladder that culminates in a championship title fight. The roster includes over 90 boxers competing across 16 venues, with fighters able to interact with the ring environment. Visual detail extends to depicting blood, sweat, and bruising on fighters during bouts. Scoring follows real boxing's point system, supplemented by an onscreen score bar that tracks round performance. The combination of career depth and quick-play options gives the title range across casual and extended play sessions.
