MotionSports: Play for Real is a sports video game developed by Ubisoft Milan and released for the Xbox 360 in 2010. Designed as one of the launch titles for Microsoft's Kinect motion-sensing peripheral, the game uses full-body movement controls to simulate athletic activities. Players interact with the game entirely through physical gestures, positioning Kinect as a central element of the experience rather than a supplementary feature. As an early showcase for the Kinect hardware, the title arrived at a moment when motion-controlled gaming on home consoles was still a novelty on the Xbox platform. Critical reception upon release was mixed, reflecting both the promise and the limitations of the emerging motion-sensing technology at the time.
