NBA 07 is a basketball simulation developed by SCE San Diego Studio and released in 2006 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable. The second entry in the NBA: Featuring the Life series, it served as a PlayStation 3 launch title and is notable for being the first game to render in true 1080p at 60Hz, outputting at a full 1920x1080 resolution. Cover star Kobe Bryant headlines a roster of current NBA teams and players across several modes, including a traditional Season Mode, an NBA Replay mode revisiting highlights from the 2006 season, and a Games of the Week feature that allowed weekly downloads of highlights from the ongoing 2007 season. The PS3 version takes advantage of the Sixaxis controller, using its rotational and translational motion sensing to execute in-game moves. Up to four players can compete locally, with online play supporting two players simultaneously.
