NBA In the Zone 2 is a basketball simulation developed by Konami for the PlayStation, released in 1996. A follow-up to the original In the Zone, it builds on its predecessor with expanded features and refined gameplay. The game includes full rosters for all NBA teams along with the ability to make substitutions, and offers multiple play modes including exhibition and full season formats. On the gameplay side, Konami enhanced the artificial intelligence to make interior drives more difficult to execute, while also expanding the foul system to encompass offensive fouls and basket-count infractions, increasing the likelihood of players fouling out over the course of a game. These additions give the title a more authentic representation of professional basketball rules and defensive play compared to its predecessor.
