Outlaw Tennis is a sports title developed by Hypnotix and released in 2005 for Xbox and PlayStation 2, based on the game of tennis. It was the final entry in the Outlaw series. The game features actor and political satirist Stephen Colbert as the voice of its announcer, providing commentary throughout matches. As with other entries in the Outlaw franchise, the game takes a less conventional approach to its sport of choice, delivering tennis gameplay within the series' established irreverent style. The title rounds out a run of Outlaw sports games that Hypnotix produced during the mid-2000s, and stands as a notable example of the arcade-style sports genre that was prominent on sixth-generation consoles during that period.
