Pokémon Shuffle is a match-three puzzle game developed by Genius Sonority, released in 2015 for Nintendo 3DS, Android, and iOS. Each stage presents a board of Pokémon icons and tasks players with depleting a wild Pokémon's HP by making matches before a fixed move limit is reached. There is no time pressure, allowing careful analysis of the board to plan chains and efficient clears. Type matchups play a central role, making team composition important for each individual stage. Pokémon grow stronger through repeated use, gradually dealing more damage, which encourages building and leveling a broad roster. Certain Pokémon can Mega Evolve mid-stage, clearing large portions of the board or triggering special effects that can shift the outcome of a difficult encounter.
