Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 is a survival-horror game developed by Capcom Production Studio 1 and released for the PlayStation 2 in 2004. A direct sequel to Resident Evil Outbreak, it returns all eight playable characters from the first game, each retaining their established abilities, as they navigate a Raccoon City overrun by zombies across a set of new scenarios. Locations range from the familiar Raccoon Police Department to more unusual settings such as a mutated jungle environment. The sequel introduces reduced loading times compared to its predecessor and marked the first online-enabled Resident Evil release in Europe. Players can import save data from the original Outbreak, carrying over previously unlocked content.
