Shin Megami Tensei IV is a turn-based role-playing game developed by Atlus and released in 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS. Regarded as the first mainline successor to Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne from 2004, it draws on design elements from related Atlus series including Persona, Devil Summoner, and Devil Survivor. The game is set in the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado, where an order of warriors known as the Samurai serve as the realm's sacred defenders.
