Siren: Blood Curse is a survival horror game developed by Project Siren and released in 2008 for PlayStation 3. The story follows an American television crew that travels to Hanuda, a village rumored to have been the site of human sacrifices, only to find themselves trapped in a nightmarish, isolated settlement seemingly frozen in the 1970s and bordered by a crimson sea. An ancient curse has overtaken the town, and players must guide the visiting characters through 12 chapters of horror while protecting surviving inhabitants and confronting the Shibito — reanimated corpses — along with other creatures. Gameplay shifts between the various visitors, incorporating combat, puzzle-solving, and exploration. A central mechanic called the Sight-Jack System allows players to toggle between the perspectives of both prey and predator, offering tactical awareness of enemy positions. Realistic facial animations and a physics engine reinforce the game's unsettling atmosphere.
