Released by Taito in 2020 for Nintendo Switch, Space Invaders: Invincible Collection is an arcade shooter compilation that brings together six titles and two additional versions spanning four decades of the franchise. The base collection includes the original 1978 Space Invaders in both its standard and color forms, the 1979 Space Invaders Deluxe, Majestic Twelve: The Space Invaders Part IV from 1990, its overseas counterpart Super Space Invaders '91, and Space Invaders Extreme from 2018. Space Invaders Gigamax 4 SE and Arkanoid vs Space Invaders — the latter available as free DLC — round out the package. Originally released in Japan, a Special Edition variant exists featuring three additional games and exclusive physical items through select retailers, with a European release of that edition planned through Strictly Limited Games.
