Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter is a space combat simulator developed by LucasArts and released in 2002 for PlayStation 2, with later availability on Xbox, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. Players pilot spacecraft across a series of missions set in the Star Wars universe, beginning with two immediately available ships: Nym's heavily armed bomber, the Havoc, and Adi Gallia's Jedi starfighter, which is equipped with Force-based abilities including lightning and a Force shield. Progression unlocks nine additional craft usable across any mission, among them an X-wing, a TIE fighter, a Republic gunship, Jango Fett's Slave I, and several advanced variants of the starting ships. A further vessel, the Z-95 Headhunter, can be accessed through a cheat code. The range of unlockable ships provides considerable variety in playstyle, spanning nimble fighters and heavier combat craft drawn from across the Star Wars setting.
