Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a third-person shooter developed by Pandemic Studios and released in 2002 for Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, and PlayStation 2. Set during the conflict between the Old Republic and the Confederacy, the game spans 16 missions in which players control characters including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Mace Windu, working to prevent the Confederacy from acquiring a powerful weapon. Unlike the aerial-focused Rogue Squadron series, the game centers primarily on ground combat, with players piloting vehicles such as speeder bikes, Republic Gunships, and fighter tanks, as well as engaging in close-quarters lightsaber combat. A multiplayer component supports up to four players across several modes, including deathmatch, conquest, and a cooperative survival mode that incorporates both on-foot and vehicle-based gameplay.
