Released in 2008 by LucasArts for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, iOS, N-Gage, and legacy mobile devices, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is an action RPG set in the period bridging Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV – A New Hope. The game serves as the centerpiece of a broader Star Wars multimedia project of the same name. Players control Darth Vader's secret apprentice, a previously unknown character whose story offers new perspectives on the broader Star Wars universe. The central premise reimagines the reach and magnitude of Force abilities, placing exceptional power at the character's disposal throughout combat encounters. Two notable technology systems underpin the experience: Digital Molecular Matter, a material physics engine developed by Pixelux that simulates realistic environmental destruction, and Euphoria, a biomechanical AI engine by NaturalMotion that governs enemy behavior and reactions.

Storyline

Darth Vader's secret apprentice, codenamed Starkiller, is trained in the Dark Side to defeat the enemies of the Empire, but must find his own path when his master betrays him.
