Super Monkey Ball Deluxe is a platform-puzzle game developed by Amusement Vision, released in 2005 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It serves as a compilation of the first two Super Monkey Ball titles, bringing the previously GameCube-exclusive series to those platforms for the first time after roughly three and a half years. The core gameplay resembles the classic arcade title Marble Madness: players tilt and guide a monkey encased in a transparent ball through a series of increasingly treacherous suspended courses, reaching the goal without falling off the edge. The collection includes all stages from both source games, and every minigame arrives fully unlocked from the start. A notable departure from the earlier entries is the removal of limited lives, replaced instead by infinite continues, which lowers the barrier for working through the game's extensive catalogue of labyrinthine levels.
