Super Scribblenauts is a puzzle-platformer developed by 5th Cell and released in 2010 for the Nintendo DS. Players control Maxwell, a character tasked with collecting a reward called the Starite by solving a series of increasingly complex challenges across redesigned levels. The core mechanic revolves around the DS touch screen and stylus: players type the name of virtually any object they can think of, which then materializes in the game world as a usable item. A significant addition over its predecessor is the introduction of adjectives, which allow players to modify summoned objects by altering attributes such as color, size, elemental properties, and behavior. Multiple adjectives can be layered onto a single object simultaneously, enabling highly specific creations. This system gives each puzzle a wide range of potential solutions, encouraging individual approaches rather than a single prescribed answer.
