Sword of Mana is an action role-playing game developed by Brownie Brown and released in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. A remake of the original Mana series entry, it follows two intertwining storylines set in a world where the location of the Mana Tree — the primordial source of all life — has been forgotten for generations. The Granz Realm's Dark Lord seeks to uncover that secret and seize control of Mana's power. Players choose between two protagonists: a gladiator driven by a desire to avenge his slain parents, or a young woman who is among the last surviving members of the Mana Clan and must reckon with her troubled past. The two characters' narratives converge as they work together against the forces threatening the Mana Tree. Each path offers a distinct perspective on the same overarching conflict, encouraging multiple playthroughs to experience the full story.
