Tetris Worlds is a puzzle game developed by Radical Entertainment and released in 2001 for Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, and PC. Built around the long-running Tetris formula, it tasks players with rotating and positioning falling Tetromino pieces to complete horizontal lines and clear the playfield. The game expands on the classic concept by offering six distinct variations of the core Tetris gameplay, each providing a different twist on the familiar mechanics. Six themed worlds provide the visual backdrop across these modes. A multiplayer component supports up to four players, adding a competitive dimension to the experience. The fundamental loop — managing descending pieces under increasing pressure — remains straightforward to grasp but difficult to disengage from, a quality that has defined the Tetris series since its origins.
