The Eye of Judgment is a turn-based strategy and card game developed by SCE Japan Studio for the PlayStation 3 in 2007. Gameplay centers on a physical nine-square battle mat called the "9 Fields," over which two players compete for territorial control by placing specially coded trading cards in front of the PlayStation Eye camera. The peripheral reads each card and renders the corresponding creature in three dimensions on screen, blending a tangible card game with real-time digital visualization. Players alternate placing cards, maneuvering to dominate the grid, and the first to claim five of the nine squares wins the match. Strategic depth comes from deploying cards more effectively than the opponent across the limited board space. The integration of the PlayStation Eye peripheral distinguishes the title from conventional digital card games by making physical card placement a core part of the experience.
