The Lost Child is a first-person dungeon-crawling RPG developed by Crim and released in 2017 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch. Set in the present day, it serves as a continuation of the El Shaddai series. Gameplay centers on navigating dungeons from a first-person perspective, with combat triggered through random encounters and resolved through turn-based mechanics involving a party of five characters. A core element of progression is the ability to capture defeated creatures and recruit them into the player's team. These creatures can also be combined with one another to produce stronger variants, giving the system a degree of depth beyond standard party building. The blend of dungeon exploration, monster collection, and fusion mechanics positions the game within a tradition of first-person Japanese RPGs with creature-based progression systems.
