The Warriors: Street Brawl is a 2009 beat 'em up developed for PC, Mac, and Xbox 360, based on the cult classic film of the same name. The game follows the Warriors gang as they fight their way through 20 miles of gang-controlled Manhattan streets, attempting to return to their home turf in Coney Island. Players choose from four playable characters — Swan, Cochise, Vermin, or Rembrandt — and battle through waves of enemies using hand-to-hand combat and a range of weapons. The action unfolds in a 3D side-scrolling format, drawing on the style of classic arcade brawlers. The campaign progresses toward a climactic confrontation with Luther and the Rogues, the antagonists whose actions set the film's central conflict in motion.
The plot of the game is like the film. The player controls a street gang named the Warriors, leading them back to their home turf on Coney Island, after being unfairly blamed for the assassination of rival gang leader Cyrus in Van Cortlandt Park.
