Developed by 49Games and released in 2008, Winter Sports 2: The Next Challenge is an arcade-style 3D sports title covering nine popular winter sports across 15 disciplines. Available on Wii, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation 2, the game places players in high-profile international competitions presented with broadcast-style production, including commentators, television cameras, and detailed environments. A newly added snowboard half-pipe event expands on its predecessor's lineup, while a campaign mode offers 42 additional challenges spread across the full range of disciplines. Multiplayer options include Hot Seat support for up to four players and a two-player split-screen mode, making it suitable for group play.
