Wipeout 2048 is a futuristic anti-gravity racing game developed by SCE Studio Liverpool, released in 2012 for PlayStation Vita and later PlayStation 4. Set at the fictional dawn of competitive anti-gravity racing, the single-player campaign spans three consecutive championship years — 2048, 2049, and 2050 — under the banner of the Anti-Gravity Racing Championships. Players progress through a series of events, each carrying standard pass and elite pass completion thresholds. Elite pass requirements are intentionally withheld until after an event is cleared, preventing players from gaming the criteria in advance. For those who encounter repeated difficulty on a particular event, a skip option becomes available, letting progress continue without being permanently blocked. Skipped events remain accessible at any point, allowing players to return and attempt them again whenever they choose.
