Burnout Dominator is a racing game developed by EA UK, released in 2007 for PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. The title centers on the return of the Burnouts mechanic — fully depleting a boost meter in a single uninterrupted run — a feature that had been absent from the series since Burnout 2: Point of Impact. Built around this revival, the game introduces four dedicated modes: Maniac Mode rewards dangerous driving through drifts, near misses, and oncoming traffic with score multipliers tied to chained Burnouts; Drift Challenge and Near Miss Challenge task players with maximizing those respective metrics; and Burnout Challenge focuses purely on accumulating Burnout scores. The game features 12 tracks across eight real-world locations, each playable in both forward and reverse configurations. Notably absent are Crash Mode, Traffic Checking, and online multiplayer. The PSP version includes Burnout HQ functionality, allowing players to upload scores and download additional track content.
