Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party is a 2007 music rhythm game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo for the Wii. Like earlier entries in the long-running Dance Dance Revolution series, the core gameplay centers on stepping to the beat on a dance pad in time with music, building combos and chasing high scores and rankings. The Wii version introduces a notable addition to this formula: players also use the Wiimote and Nunchuk to perform hand-shaking motions in response to special command icons that appear alongside the standard step patterns. This mechanic engages the upper body in a way previous entries in the series did not, making the physical demands more comprehensive.
