Released in 2002 by Mythic Entertainment, Shrouded Isles is the first retail expansion pack for the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Dark Age of Camelot, available on PC. The expansion builds on the foundation of the original game by introducing new playable races and character classes, broadening the options available to players within the game's three-realm setting. Most notably, it adds three entirely new continents to explore, substantially increasing the geographic scope of the world. The expansion also launched with a rebuilt graphics engine, bringing the visual presentation up to a standard competitive with contemporary releases at the time.
