F-1 World Grand Prix is a Formula One racing simulator developed by Paradigm Entertainment and released in 1998 for Nintendo 64, PC, and PlayStation. Built around the 1997 season, the game offers five distinct modes. Grand Prix walks players through that season race by race, while Exhibition isolates a single event and Time Trial focuses on setting fast laps. Challenge mode recreates specific historical scenarios from 1997, such as attempting to win the Hungarian Grand Prix as Damon Hill or outpacing Jean Alesi as David Coulthard at the Italian Grand Prix. A fifth mode supports two-player competition via split-screen in a single race. The combination of structured season play and scenario-based challenges rooted in real 1997 events gives the title a simulation-oriented approach that distinguishes it from more arcade-focused racing games of the same era.
