Formula 1 is a 1996 racing simulator developed by Bizarre Creations for PC and PlayStation, built around the official 1996 Formula 1 season. The game reproduces the licensed tracks, cars, and sponsorship branding from that season, with commentary provided by Murray Walker. Players select from a roster of thirty drivers and configure a range of pre-race settings, including weather conditions, car dynamics, difficulty level, and the number of rounds in a championship. Two distinct modes are available — an arcade option for more accessible play and a Grand Prix mode aimed at simulation-oriented players — giving the title some flexibility in how it can be approached. The combination of official licensing and adjustable options made it a reasonably comprehensive recreation of Formula 1 racing for its era.
