World Soccer: Winning Eleven 6 International is a football simulation developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo and released in 2002 for PlayStation 2. Known in Europe as Pro Evolution Soccer 2, it is the second entry in Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer series. The game was released under varying regional titles — Winning Eleven 6 in Japan, where it was later followed by an updated edition subtitled Final Evolution. As a sports simulator, it focuses on recreating the fundamentals of association football with the level of mechanical depth the series was becoming known for. It holds a notable place in the franchise's history as the last series entry released in Europe for the original PlayStation, and the only installment in the series to appear on Nintendo GameCube.
