FIFA Soccer 2004 is a football simulation developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts, released in October 2003 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, and PC. The eleventh entry in the FIFA series and the eighth to use 3D graphics, it builds on its predecessor's engine while introducing several notable additions. Secondary divisions make their debut, giving players the opportunity to manage lower-ranked clubs through promotion campaigns. A mechanic called "Off the Ball" lets players control two athletes simultaneously, adding a tactical dimension to matches. A cross-title feature called Football Fusion links the game with Total Club Manager 2004, allowing management decisions made in that title to carry over into FIFA 2004 matches. The cover features Alessandro Del Piero, Thierry Henry, and Ronaldinho, and the title sequence, filmed at St James' Park, opens with Kings of Leon's "Red Morning Light.
