Grandia III is a role-playing game developed by Game Arts and released for PlayStation 2 in 2005. The story follows Yuki, a boy with ambitions of becoming a skilled pilot in a fantasy world where magic-powered aircraft have made human flight possible. His path changes when he and his mother cross paths with Alfina, a young woman gifted with the rare ability to commune with the world's spiritual guardians. The three become entangled in a larger conflict centered on uncovering the mysteries of their world's history and confronting Xorn, a malevolent rogue guardian threatening its order. Published by Square Enix, the game continues the Grandia series' tradition of combining adventure-driven storytelling with turn-based combat. The aerial setting and guardian mythology give the narrative a distinct identity within the fantasy RPG genre.
