Released in 2014 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd is a rhythm game developed by Crypton Future Media and the direct follow-up to Project DIVA F. Players tap, hold, and time inputs to a tracklist that combines new songs with returning tracks from earlier entries in the series, alongside a range of character modules. Two mechanics introduced in this installment are sliding touchscreen notes and double scratch notes, adding new input demands to the core gameplay. The DIVA Room returns and includes several minigames, among them a clapping game. Cosmetic rhythm-mode skins can be acquired through DLC, allowing players to alter the visual presentation of the gameplay interface. Cross-save functionality enables progress to carry between the PS3 and PS Vita versions.
