Mario Party 7 is a party board game developed by Hudson Soft and released in 2005 for the Nintendo GameCube. Set aboard a cruise that Bowser was left out of, the game pits players against one another across a series of themed boards while also featuring confrontations with an irate Bowser. The experience supports up to eight players on a single GameCube system, making it one of the more socially expansive entries in the series. Over 80 new minigames are spread across the various modes, and the title introduces several new playable characters to the roster. Microphone support, a feature carried over from Mario Party 6, returns here as well, adding an additional layer of interaction to select minigames. The combination of board game structure and rapid-fire competitive minigames defines the core loop throughout.
