Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 is a BMX sports game developed by Gratuitous Games and released in 2002 for Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, and PlayStation 2. Players ride alongside a roster of real professional BMX athletes — including Mat Hoffman, Mike Escamilla, Chad Kagy, Cory Nastazio, Joe Kowalski, Rick Thorne, Kevin Robinson, and Simon Tabron — across eight cities throughout the United States. A central mechanic called the Trick Morpher allows riders to combine tricks in any sequence, opening up considerable creative flexibility in how runs are constructed. The game also includes specially customized courses, a photo book feature that captures notable replay moments, and support for both single-player and multiplayer modes. Published under Activision's O2 label, the title builds on a console BMX series that had been running since the original PlayStation era.
