Metal Slug 7 is a 2008 side-scrolling shooter and platformer developed by SNK Playmore for the Nintendo DS. Players control operatives from the Peregrine Falcon Strike Force, the Ikari Warriors, or the SPARROWS as they pursue General Morden and his rebel army across a series of action-heavy stages. The mission centers on preventing Morden from executing a coup d'état against the government, but complications arise when a mysterious army traveling from the future intervenes on his behalf after his initial defeat. With Morden effectively reinforced by this unknown faction, the mission escalates into a more urgent confrontation aimed at ending his threat permanently. The game maintains the series' signature run-and-gun gameplay, blending fast-paced combat with the trademark mechanical vehicles and frantic enemy waves that define the Metal Slug franchise.
