Metal Slug Anthology is a side-scrolling run-and-gun compilation released in 2006 by Nazca Corporation to mark the series' tenth anniversary. It brings together multiple entries from the acclaimed Metal Slug arcade franchise into a single package, spanning PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, and Wii platforms. The collection preserves the fast-paced, sprite-based combat and vehicle-based action that defined the original arcade releases. A revised PlayStation 4 version followed in 2016 as part of Sony's PS2-on-PS4 program, introducing 1080p visuals and trophy support to the package.
