Project Gotham Racing 3 is an arcade-style racing game developed by Bizarre Creations and released as an Xbox 360 launch title in November 2005 in North America and December 2005 in Europe, with a Japanese release following in January 2006. The third entry in the Project Gotham Racing series, it tasks players with competing in high-performance vehicles across a range of circuits while earning style points alongside outright speed. One of its distinguishing features is a detailed first-person cockpit view that renders the interior of each car with considerable realism, offering a perspective uncommon in the genre at the time. Official Xbox Magazine recognized the game as its Xbox 360 Game of the Year for 2005 and also singled out its cockpit perspective as the best first-person non-shooter experience of that year.
