Developed by Infinity Plus 2 and released in 2019 exclusively for Nintendo Switch, Puzzle Quest: The Legend Returns is a match-3 puzzle RPG that combines tactical gem-matching combat with deep role-playing progression. The package includes a fully remastered version of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords alongside its expansion, Revenge of the Plague Lord, plus a substantial volume of content created specifically for this release. Set across the kingdom of Etheria, players explore locations including the Agarian Forest, taking on quests and engaging enemies through a battle system where matching three or more gems generates mana for casting spells, dealing damage, and collecting rewards. Experience and items accumulate across an extended campaign featuring over 100 new quests, spells, and items, along with new monsters and bosses. Character class options include returning favorites and five additions — Blood Mage, Priest, Monk, Paladin, and Elementalist.
