Developed by Atlus and released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2 is a turn-based RPG and the concluding half of the Digital Devil Saga duology. Picking up directly from its predecessor, the game continues the story of characters navigating a world shaped by demonic transformation and conflict. The core gameplay retains the series' grid-based Mantra system for learning abilities, though this installment introduces a revised version of that system alongside new mechanical additions. Chief among these is Berserk Mode, which expands combat options by allowing characters to tap into a more primal, uncontrolled state. As the second and final entry in the series, it brings closure to the narrative threads established in the first game, offering players a complete arc across both titles. The game is also available on PlayStation 3.
Serph, Leader of the Embryon, wanders aimlessly through the lifeless streets before him. In the Junkyard, his tribe fought a gruesome war, hoping the light of Heaven would relieve their suffering. In the end, Serph's world vanished, along with the comrades who stood by him. All that awaited him in Nirvana were endless streets littered with the silent remains of human statues.
