Star Fox Guard is a tower defense and strategy game developed by Nintendo Entertainment Planning & Development for the Wii U, released in 2016 alongside Star Fox Zero. Players defend a mining base operated by Slippy Toad's uncle by placing a network of cameras armed with weapons around the facility. Waves of enemy robots attempt to infiltrate from multiple directions, and success depends on positioning turrets effectively and monitoring simultaneous feeds on both the TV screen and the Wii U GamePad. The game distinguishes between combat robots, which attack directly, and chaos robots, which attempt to distract or disable the camera network. A multiplayer component allows one player to send enemy waves against another player's base, adding a competitive layer to the defensive gameplay. Originally bundled with first-print copies of Star Fox Zero, it later became available as a standalone digital download on the Wii U eShop.
