Released in 2007 exclusively for the PlayStation Portable, Star Wars: Battlefront – Renegade Squadron is a third-party shooter developed by Rebellion Developments and set within the Battlefront series. The single-player campaign centers on a previously unknown covert unit assembled by Han Solo from some of the galaxy's most notorious scoundrels. Missions take place across diverse Star Wars locations, including Korriban's Valley of the Sith, the debris field left by the destroyed planet Alderaan, and the volcanic world of Sullust. Multiplayer supports up to 16 players via Infrastructure mode, with ad hoc play accommodating up to eight. A notable character customization system gives players 100 points to spend on building a personal kit, drawing from a pool of options that allows over a million distinct combinations, enabling the creation of unique Star Wars characters tailored to individual playstyles.
