Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor is a mech combat game developed by FromSoftware and published by Capcom for the Xbox 360, released in 2012. A sequel to the original Steel Battalion and Steel Battalion: Line of Contact, it continues the series' focus on piloting large mechanical walkers in a grounded, tactical setting. The game requires the Kinect sensor and combines it with the standard Xbox 360 controller, creating a hybrid input system in which physical gestures captured by Kinect are layered on top of traditional gamepad controls. First announced at the 2010 Tokyo Game Show, the title carries forward the series' identity of demanding, immersive mech operation, translating it through motion-based interactions meant to simulate the physical act of working inside a vehicle cockpit.
