TOCA Race Driver 2 is a motorsport racing game developed by Sumo Digital and released in 2004 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, PC, and PlayStation Portable. A sequel to Codemasters' original TOCA Race Driver, it expands the formula by offering around 15 distinct racing disciplines, among them officially licensed championships such as V8 Supercars and DTM, alongside stock cars, supercars, rally, open-wheel, and supertruck categories. The single-player career mode takes players through a series of championships and circuits spread across multiple real-world locations, with competition drawn from a field of highly skilled opponents. Multiplayer is supported online, accommodating races of up to 12 competitors via PC internet connections or Xbox Live. The breadth of racing categories gives the game an unusually wide scope for a title of its era, aiming to represent a comprehensive cross-section of global motorsport within a single package.
